Viper Build Page 5

I'm finally... almost anyway.. rid of the "cold from hell" and have actually worked on the craft all week. In the above photo you can see the "planing hull" sections held together with zip ties... again- much easier to deal with than wire as direted in the plans. The planing hull is now glassed together, and glassed to the hull. The next 2 pictures show the "forward compartment" glassed into the planning hull and cockpit... the forward compartment houses the instrument panel, steering, wiring, etc....

Once the forward compartment was installed the 80mm access wholes were buried by a "Floatation Compartment" that which goes all the way around the craft. The flotation compartment is now glassed in place, and will eventually be attacked with a hole saw, and then filled with 2 part closed cell foam. The hole saw cutouts will be glassed back in place.

Ummm... I think this one is big enough!!

In the mean time I solved my trailer problem... the old one was too narrow and too short... the new one has a deck size of 20' long by 8' 6" wide...... big enough I think ;)

Front Quarter view of upper decking being fit

See! It almost looks like a Hovercraft!!

The "plenum" area and flotation compartment have now been "painted" with 2 coats of epoxy to seal the wood. The decking is being fit in the pictures above.
